O2 to launch Palm Pre on October 16

O2 have finally announced the Palm Pre’s launch date.  The Pre will launch exclusively with O2 on October 16th.

The Palm Pre is touted as a serious contender in the fight to challenge the iPhone as the top smartphone with it’s slick new WebOS software that (apparently) seamlessly integrates calendars, messages and contacts from a range of sources such as Facebook, your Outlook account and other social networks. I can’t wait to get my hands on one for a proper test of it’s claims!

The Palm Pre will be free on 24 month contracts and free for £44 and above 18 month contracts.

Have you tried the Palm Pre, perhaps on hols in the US or you’re lucky enough to get a pre-launch trial sample?  If so, please let me know what you think by commenting below.
