Yet more iPhone Video rumours

iMovie - Video editing for iPhone? The new iPhone rumours continue with further reports that suggest video capture and editing will be a big new feature.

Business Week reports their source has told them the iPhone will sport video capture and editing capabilities that rival the popular Flip pocket video recorder. Their source suggested that the iPhone will feature a cut-down version of Apple’s popular iMovie application which will enable you to quickly edit and upload video straight to You Tube or Facebook over your 3G or WiFi connection.

iPhone Software 3.0Reg Hardware describes the new iPhone as a “one-stop studio for recording, editing, viewing and sharing videos” and are certain that iPhone 3.0 will be unveiled at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) early in June, in line with previous iPhone announcements.

Standard cut and paste will only hit the iPhone with software release 3.0 so jumping straight to editing movies may seem too big a jump forwards. However, I am confident that video will be one of the big new features on the iPhone (it should really have been on there from day one!) and the addition of easy to use on-phone video editing will certainly be an innovation in the phone market, although the size of the iPhone and the touchscreen interface will no doubt limit it’s sophistication.
