Editor's Note

The HTC Touch HD has launched exclusively with Orange The Touch HD looks set to be a serious challenger for the iPhone.  It's a touchscreen phone that runs the well established Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system.

It looks great with a slick black finish and a very slim 12mm thick body.  The Touch HD sports a 5 megapixel camera and a 3.5mm headphone jack so you can use your own fancy Sennheiser or Bose headphones rather than the naff ones normally supplied with a mobile phone. There's also Wi-Fi for fast internet browsing or email download and an FM radio, which is rare in of phone of this type.

This phone is the big brother of the rather lovely HTC Touch Diamond and will feature the same TouchFLO 3D finger swipe menu system, similar to the iPhone.

Orange have secured the exclusive rights to the Touch HD until at least 2009. The Touch HD is available for £49.99 on the £40 per month online exclusive tariff.
