The Nokia N97 is the next installment in the Nokia N90 series saga. Looking similar to the N96 but with the addition of a slide out QWERTY keyboard and a large 3.5 inch touchscreen, the N97 is being positioned by Nokia as the ultimate personal internet device.
The device lets you download applications, including social networking tools such as Facebook, from Nokia's Ovi service. The built in A-GPS (a type of SatNav) and an electronic compass makes it easy to update social networks with your social location or 'So-Lo', as Nokia puts it.
The N97 features the same camera as seen on the N95 and N96 - a 5 megapixel auto focus camera with flash, Carl Zeiss optics and DVD quality video capture. There is a monster 32GB of data storage built in which you can expand to 48GB with a memory card - enough to store several movies, thousands of music tracks and plenty more.
The N97 is due to launch in the first half of 2009. Sign up to our newsletter for news of it's launch.
